Domain and Hosting

A website is the biggest medium to promote any product, service or information in the world of internet. Just like as a book has many pages and a lot of information is arranged on those pages, a website has one or more pages of information. Now in order to find your desired book among thousands of books in a public library, you need to know the name of the book and search for the book with that name. Similarly, to find your desired website among thousands of websites on the internet, you have to search with a name. Which we call domain. That is the first condition of a website.

Just taking the domain of the website will not happen. You need a memory device or space to keep the content you want to put on your website like a book. We call it hosting. And the computer that it comes from, we call it - server. Just as we have a memory card or hard disk or SSD to hold the necessary files on our phone or computer, we need that memory device to hold the files displayed on our website. Your domain will search the memory device linked to your domain whenever someone browses your domain. And from there will display in front of him the desired contents of the visitor. That means the files will be displayed in front of the visitor from that memory device. However, we have some gaps in the storage system of mobile or computer storage devices.

Suppose someone browses your website name or your domain. But the computer that has your files is now switch off. As a result, your domain will fail to show content to visitors. So, we have to keep the hosting or memory device running for 24 hours. In order for information to be displayed safely and quickly in front of visitors, the performance of the hosting device must be much better. Besides, since the devices will always be on, they have to be built with such capability. In this case, so that the devices do not turn off or problems due to excess heat, so the necessary cooling system must be kept. And we call these exceptional and high-performance memory devices or hosting computers- server. Whose image we occasionally see on the internet.

Server

Since it is not possible to use the computers used in our home as a server, we have to resort to the server company for this memory. Server companies keep their computers or memory devices running 24 hours a day. They sell us space from their computer storage devices. We buy them in different quantities on a monthly or annual basis. When they are paid, they give us a virtual memory card just like our mobile or computers. Where we put the contents of our website. And we call this memory card Control Panel or cpanel.

A web developer has to buy a domain and hosting and then add the hosting to his domain. In order to understand the domain, its information is stored on a server or computer. In that case each server has its own two addresses or links. Which we call name server. Our domain basically recognizes both of these name servers. The website developer then puts its design code and all the files in that control panel. And whatever is on the virtual memory card or control panel will be displayed on the website as it is. However, the developer or admin of the website is always active to keep the memory or control panel of the website safe and secure.
